BASIL HUGO SPRITZ
Arguably one of our best summer cocktails, this herb-forward version of The Hugo Spritz swaps muddled mint for fresh basil while leaving all the distinctive and refreshing flavors of elderflower liqueur, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and the bright, crisp bubbles of La Marca Prosecco. A poolside staple and cocktail hour crowd-pleaser, the Basil Hugo Spritz stirs up the perfect ingredients for any occasion under the sun. Enjoy with light, Italian-inspired antipasti, like caprese salad and bruschetta.
Ingredients
• 4 oz La Marca Prosecco
• 1 oz elderflower liqueur
• ½ oz lime juice
• 2-3 oz club soda
• 4-5 muddled basil leaves
• Garnish with basil and lemon
Instructions
Release the basil oils by gently muddling 4–5 fresh basil leaves in the bottom of a Bordeaux wine glass. Fill the glass with ice, then add La Marca Prosecco, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, and club soda. Stir gently and garnish with fresh basil and a lemon twist.
